Paul McCobb Planner Group Dining Chairs, Set of Eight, 1950s
Mid-Century Modern set of 8 Paul McCobb dining chairs, American, 1950
Stunning set of eight dining chairs in solid maple from Paul McCobb's iconic Planner Group, manufactured by Winchendon Furniture from 1950-1964. The chair, model #1531, takes its basic inspiration from a Windsor chair, with a low spindle back of tapered dowels supporting a curved backrest. The seat rests on top of a top four tapered legs and is inlaid with four oversize wooden screw motifs.
This set is in very good vintage condition, wear consistent with age and use. Chairs have recently been re-finished. See images.
